Sunwing Fuel divert into CYXX
This sounds fishy. A Sunwing 738 diverts into Abbotsford (when CYVR was just as far), claiming fuel low. OK so maybe YVR had a short wait and that the diver was necessary, but the added claim "36 bags were removed from the plane at Abbotsford airport “to reduce the aircraft weight in an effort to alleviate excess fuel burn.”" makes almost no sense at all, unless they had to take off on the smaller runway

What's fishy is the poor reporting and terrible distortion of facts. If I ran an airline I would refuse to talk to any media outlet that did such a bad job of reporting.

Bags were offloaded before departure from Manzanillo, not at Abbotsford.

Meh...if passengers think running an airline is that easy, they should build their own airline, damn it! (cough..cough..)
