Few fixed wing questions

Hi there
Fellow pilot but rotor head just looking for someone in the fixed wing world with dash-8 endorsement and time that could answer some questions for a guy

Thanks

...and the questions are?

Bell212noise 11th Nov 2014 14:44

Looking for emergency procedures for having a single tire blown on a wing side during take off. Are there any landing precautions that should be taken when a pilot is aware at least one tire on the gear is blown with a full loaded plane with pax and baggage and guessing a full load of fuel.

And which tabloid do you work for?

Bell212noise 12th Nov 2014 01:12

Well for one I don't work for any tabloid. I was a passenger on the flight seat 6F right in front of where there prop came through the cabin. In fact am a 12 year commercial helicopter pilot and would just like to know some info about the aircraft and procedures.

Ha, ha,
I love it, give me a break, what a Pratt.

Bajan Pilot 12th Nov 2014 01:31

I have never seen a laid down procedure for the scenario you mention. Airmanship is what will take care of the situation.

Canuck, was this the video about that? ;)

Oooo, 'Happy to hear you're still with us . You probably have more knowledge of this now than most here! It sound's like it was quite a ride!

I have no qualified opinion, other than to think that the pilots appeared to do a pretty good job of a difficult situation....
