Not quite "Fellow Airshow Pilots" that started the reporting, but a complets jerk who insists on being called by his acedemic degree names, Along with a TC guy who was in the background "stiring the pot", thus the whole thing was blown out of all proportion {as in the nonsense about a float plane on the Ottwa River a few weeks back} In the end the Col was vindicated and TC looked like bloody fools, and rightly so!

Avcanada the colonel

The problem, in the past, was when TC was made to look like fools after spending a whole bunch of taxpayers money, they did not go back and consider their errors. They went out to get the bastard. And I expect the col, as others of us, suffered for standing up to them.

I am certain if the col got off he would have fallen in that catagory. I know Cat did, and I did. and therot went right up through management.

New pilots who would state that they did not agree with what some inspector said, but were afraid to speak up as TC would target them.....and they were right.

Hopefully things have changed, and TC in general, and their enforcement in particular are getting a better sense of what is right and proper...at least that is the hope

I can't speak for the rest of you but personally I would require some demonstrated maturity before letting anyone borrow or use anything of mine. Flying upside down and posting countless selfies doesn't quite meet the bar.

When I started training in Canada as a student pilot, I still remember checking AvCan on a daily basis for insteresting posts, and the Colonel's posts were by far the best, they were informative mixed with a bit of dark humor and topped off with sarcasm. And that's what makes them so interesting, to see through the eyes of a great pilot.

I've PM him a few times about my troubles during training and he never failed to reply. Thank you Mr. Andrew

Everybody have their quirks, espescially as you grow older, but his positive character traits far exceed his, may I say ''shortcoming''. Noone is perfect but to me he's closest to it and the younger generation of pilots should appreciate that he's still around to pass on his knowledge. You must admit you would be in AWE to know how much time and efforts he dedicates to impart his knowledge and wisdom in aviation, for the sake of your safety, your passenger's safefy and the public.

So Colonel Sanders, canuck51 you have my respect and support, keep on posting:cool:Haters gonna hate.
