B1900D Type Rating Renewal
 

Hello,

I am looking for an FTO where I can renew my B1900D Type rating. I know about flightsafety but would there be any other solution in Canada?

I have done my initial Type Rating in Denver, and would like to avoid having a TC Examiner fly there to check me out.

There is no 'renewal' requirement for a type rating on a Canadian licence. Are you working overseas and require to renew you instrument rating, perhaps? Then you have other options.

You are right, there is no renewal requirement, thanks for reminding me!

I am working overseas and I wil have to explain to my company. I guess they want me to go through a sim check for both the B1900D and the King Air 200.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was one licensing standard and if every CAA around the world was required to use it?
