What are the requirements to be a pilot in Canada?
 

I want to be a commercial pilot for Air Canada, please tell me requirements, and I also want to know about best flying school in Canada please help me.

Go to Transport Canada / Transports Canada. ...find AIR, everything you need to know you will find there if you spend an hour or so as far as licensing is concerned.

As far as Air Canada goes, you should contact them directly as well. There is no shortage of pilots in Canada.

-Landed Immigrant status.

-Canadian ATPL

-A willingness to be paid crap in a tax crippling society.

-Acceptance of ever deteriorating conditions of employment.

-Indifference to a professional group that is fractured and
self destructive to each other.

-The complete erosion of any pride in your career, company
or co-worker.

-and being a low time, visible minority, female doesn't hurt either.

LOL... I'd say that covers most of it.

Don't listen to losers. They're a dime a dozen. There are good aviation careers out there for you to carve out for yourself. If that's what you want, start making steps in that direction and you'll get there. Go to a flying school and ask questions. Just be aware that there are bitter people there also. Listen to the ones that look like they're on their way somewhere.

Although I agree with you that one can find a job in aviation in Canada if someone wants to work hard and is persistent at it, what Obbie said is certainly but unfortunately not far from the truth.

And yet Air Canada still has hundreds of resumes on file!:cool:

Becoming a pilot in Canada is quite good for my personal experience.The quality standard of flight training over all in Canada is quite higher than the other countries.Every flight is conducted keeping only one thing mind 'Safety'.
I may say transport Canada has been doing a good job in maintaining this reputation.
You may approach only of the flight school in Canada and request for more details.

Jennie:Canada is the country of aviation, possibly the most interesting and challenging (Australia comes to mind aswell).

For a career, that's quite simple:
-get a CPL
-bush or instruction or ramp
-build your time and reputation with your chief pilots all along
-find a turboprop job, then build your PIC multi turboprop time
-Apply for Jazz or the other regional airlines
-Apply for AC
-Done.

You can get a post graduate work permit to stay in Canada after completing the flight training program.

Dude honestly, you have asked the same question 10 times!! If you don't like the answer you have received 10times, then that's too bad. Read what's been told to you and believe it because it's all true. No one is going to magically offer you a work permit just because you post on pprune. Stop asking the same question over and over!!!
