Hour Building
Hi everyone.
I'm hopefully going to be living and working in Toronto come November this year. Would Canada be a good option to hour build? I will have my EASA PPL by then, will I need to convert the licence? I have no idea on what to do so as much info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike |
Hey Mike,
Looks like the usual people aren't answering your question so I'll attempt. :) I came to Canada a number of years ago with a JAA PPL. To convert to a TC PPL you need to write the PSTAR exam ( Improved PSTAR Study Guide - Robyn's Flying Start ) and get a Canadian aviation medical then go to the nearest TC office with your logbook and they will issue you with a Canadian PPL based on your foreign licence. After that, I would recommend going to a flight school and having a few rides with an instructor so that you get the feel of the way things are done here. Then go for it! Build your time, get a CPL and MIR and get a bush job in Canada's north, if that's what you want. Cheers! |
