IFR in BC
 

Hey Guys,
I will be in Vancouver in Aug to convert a Helo licence to Canadian ATPL. I also will be doing IFR Training and would appreciate some local knowledge regarding the best and fairest fixed wing organisation nearest to Heli-college to do some slabwing IFR.

Check out www.proifr.com, they are a fixedwing /rotarywing operation. They can arrange accommodation and transportation for you if you need it. There are other schools around the YVR area that I could get phone# but I think the above would be the best for you.

Professional IFR has a good reputation for teaching IFR, you can also check out: www.wingsmagazine.com,there are quite a few schools that advertise in wings.

If you are looking for fixed wing IFR then the above like (Pro IFR) is a great start. If you are looking for a heli-IFR rating then perhaps you should someone like a HeliJet pilot to see what's avilable locally.

If you are in hte YVR area in early August check out the Abbottsford air show - there are always lots of IFR school booths.
