Canadian ATP is or is not a JAA ATP

Ladies and Gents,
I will be obtaining a Canadian ATP shortly to expand my opportunities in my life after the military. Under the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan Agreement during WWII Canadian licenses were honored in Britian as Canada is a Commonwealth country. My question is does anyone know if this is still the case? Does a CA ATP equate to or can lead to (with minimum difficulties) to a UK JAA ATP? Thanks for the advice

No Canadian license are not JAA, Canada is not part of Europe they use to have an equivalent under the British system but only for G registered AC, not a JAA license equivalent but an exception to JAA under British autority to Fly G airplane. Not a long term solution anyways. Your experience can give you some exemption to the JAA training but not more than any other ICAO licence Holder.
