getting a ppc printed on CPL card

Any one have to do this?

Just been asked to have my PPC printed on my CPL instead of on the ppc card that I have.

TC hasn't returned my call yet, any one know if this is easy?

You can get a type rating printed on your CPL card, but not your ppc.

geldof,

Although Gear Door is correct, in theory anything under 12500 LBS is covered in the blaket rating. i.e no type rating required, i.e not necessary to have it printed on your license. However it is possible. I have had to have it done in the past and most recently had to inquire about the procedure again. As I recall (ended up that it was not necessary so i cancelled the request) it was a matter of filling in the applicable form and paying $35. It was as simple as that. They even offered to do it right there on the spot (I happened to be at the TC office that day). Seemed a bit odd that they were so accomodating, perhaps I just caught the TC staff on a good day. Maybe it was my smile?? Regardless, it is possible.

Piece of cake - did it with a Dash 8 TR

JoeCo 27th Nov 2004 08:59

eight iron special,

Isn't the Dash 8 a type rating and therefore must be printed on your license? In geldof's case with a PPC on an aircraft under 12500, it's a a bit different, but still very possible.

It would be nice to see geldoff participate in this thread once again!!
