To everyone still fighting with opening cans during service: your nails (and sanity)

I've recently started working with a company that's developed a nifty can-opening tool, and I NEED your honest thoughts. You know how it goes - service is hectic enough without fighting those stubborn tabs while trying to keep our nails intact!

I've been testing this thing out on my trips (it's basically a little cover that sits on top of cans), and honestly? It's been a game-changer for my gel manis. But before we try to get this into more crew hands, I want to hear from my sky fam:
  • Has anyone's airline given you grief about using personal tools during service? (This is TSA-compliant btw)
  • Real talk - how many nails/manicures have y'all sacrificed to the can tab gods? 😅
  • What tricks are you currently using to save your nails during those back-to-back services?
The company's offering free samples if you're willing to share your detailed thoughts after trying it out. This isn't me trying to sell you anything - I genuinely want to know if this could help make our jobs a tiny bit easier (or if I'm just being dramatic about my nail struggles).Drop a comment if you're interested in testing one out! Would love to hear your thoughts, good or bad!

P.S. Before anyone asks - yes, it's food-safe and totally cool to take through security!

Good point! This tool is just for opening cans, but yeah, dealing with hot drinks is super important too. Maybe something like better trays or grip holders could help? What do you guys use to make it safer?

Putting the lid correctly on the cup before passing it to the passenger is a good starting point.

I think they should just give them the whole can or just a screw-top bottle

Write the pitch without ChatGPT and I will share my honest thoughts!

Interestingly enough, I copied the OP’s text into ChatGPT and asked it was AI generated. It said no/unlikely, but I agree with amy that it feels off. So I popped it into 2 AI detectors, with the following results:

gptzero.me
Rating: 94% AI generated, 0% Mixed, 6% Human

sapling.ai/ai-content-detector
Rating: 99.6% Fake

btw no hate for the OP, it sounds like they are promoting something which could be of genuine utility for crew. Shiw I recommend you come clean and just be straightforward about what you are trying to ask. Good luck! :ok:
