Gulf Air
Apparently they're recruiting again, but what happened to all the crew that left recently?
Actually, I think they were told to leave, after so many years of loyalty to the company, all across the board. It's shame that you always feel as if you are walking on eggshells with these airlines in the gulf. What ever happened to people management, all they're interested in is cart management!!!:( |
Gulf Air
Yip, you are right, they are recruiting again. Majority of the girls that left are now working for other airlines. I recently got a letter asking me to go back (I was made redundant in December after two and a half years with Gulf Air), but have moved on to greener pastures (I hope:D ). There are quite a few GF cabin crew that have joined EK, so I don't reackon very many of them will be going back.

GULF AIR RECRUITING
Yup! You're right! Gulf Air are currently recruiting in Australia.
I was in Brizvegas last week-end and saw their ad in the newspaper (Saturday's - don't remember which one though! Sorry!). At least, unlike others, they mentioned: single females only! Well, I don't know if we can talk discrimination here, but I reckon honesty is the way to go: "non single" candidates won't build up unnecessary hope... Maybe someone still has the newspaper and wants to cut/paste the article under this topic?? I'm sure some PpruNers would appreciate! ;) Mrs. FJ |
GF also advertising for qualified chefs which are to begin flying! Under the job description - counting meals and making sure worksurfaces are wiped down properly!
I am sure there are loads of highly qualified chefs fighting for this one! (not) |
I don't think working for Emirates is like walking on eggshells !!!
and EK should not be lumped in with "other" Gulf Airlines.   |
Well its an airline and its in the gulf.
I rest my case! :p |
Yes, you have observed correctly, EK is an airline AND it is in the GULF. :p

Chefs at Gulf Air
Gulf Air are recruiting chefs, which will form part of the crew complement, trained in first aid and safety.
A little like virgin's concept of bringing on beauticians for their upper class customers. Good luck to them, great opportunity and concept.:D |
Saudia introduced "flying chefs" in the mid eighties.
