I am not sure there is any test to weed out perverts. Considering his age he seems to have been at the flag carrier for a while and if there were prior reports on his behaviour then they might be liable. If this is the first time he has done this not sure the airline shoudl be blamed about it.

It seems quite sad that an airline that is goong thru an almost impossible phase of bad luck is now the favourite whipping boy

Employ a nutcase, fly over a war zone? Could be a sprinkling of bad management there too.

I don't think that particular comment is fair to MH's management, most long haul airlines fly over zones of conflict every single day on a risk managed basis. We don't know what MH's risk management process was, but they were very, very far from being the only airline flying over Eastern Ukraine at the time. Some very big names were in those skies in the same time frame.

The right to express an opinion might be one reason, but other than that, no.

MH have had enough bad publicity and sniping at them in the last few months and I'm a bit bored with reading about every single missed approach or turn back or dirty tray table that someone reports on MH. Now the reports are coming about flights with only a handful of people on board, which might do them some good as it's making the public aware that they can get cheap fares on empty flights. That is very appealing to a lot of people.

An airline loses two aircraft; bang! bang!; just like that!
If I worked for them I'd be 'phoning around.
I'd LIKE to think that the new CEO will take a firm line with the whole show BUT custom and ethos can be a bit of a barrier to banging the boardroom table in some countries.
