Secured overhead bin
Hey all,
Friend travelled from Warsaw, Poland and saw this: http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg15/...pg&res=landing Was the compartment broken, or they shipped some diplomatic / dangerous goods in there? |
Judging by the lack of opening handle, I'd say it was just a broken overhead bin. Diplomatic bags are carried in the cockpit and dangerous goods would be carried in the baggage hold.

The latest version of the Airbus A32X cabin has the flimsiest over head locker locks known to man. They only close by lifting the latch when you close the door, meaning that passengers who haven't mastered the knack repeated slam the lockers shut without the catch engaging. After a few slams, the flimsy catches break. It's not unusual to see several lockers taped shut. Why Airbus changed from the previous locker catches which locked when the door is closed and were pretty indestructible I have no idea.

Thanks for the information :)
