Should I turn down interview
 

Hello everyone...

I am new here... a little about myself... 32, male, offered a chance to be interviewed for QF Cabin Crew (London). However, I have just realised the salary that is on offer from QF London and am having serious second thoughts.

I have also applied to QF Cabin Crew (Australia) and am waiting for a reply (or lack-there-of).

If I turn down the interview with QCC LON will it reflect poorly to the QCC AUS recruiters?

Apart from BA at LHR (EF or WW), you will be hard pushed to find a better paying airline in the UK when you consider the working patterns of QFUK compared to many other airlines. My advice would be to come to the UK interview. At the very least, it will be interview experience and you could make a holiday out of it. If you get it, that would be a bonus.

Have a look on this forum to see what QFUK crew are saying. Then have a look in the D&G section and see what the QCCA crew are saying. The feedback from both bases should give you something to base your personal decision on.

I don't think it will make any difference to QCCA, but you should think whether or not you want to turn down what could be the only opportunity to work for your employer of choice. It's by no means certain that you'll receive an interview with QF in Oz. What would happen if you turned that one down and didn't get another look in?

I can certainly see the benefits in interview experience and practice.

I agree that you wont find a better paying airline in the UK. Go along to the interview, you have nothing to lose and it will be good experience for any other interviews you may have.

I would go if I were you. If you dont like it you can resign after a while and reapply for QFOZ. The experience would add onto your CV. It's all a learning experience and you are not guaranteed at this moment of an interview with QFOZ. Good luck.
