Emirates Cabin Crew Video
I found (well was directed to really) this video on YouTube made by Emirates cabin crew. It's a bunch of them singing "Make someone's day" to the tune of oh happy day? Were any of you Emirates ppl on here involved in it, looks like a fun thing to do and it highlights one of the things I think would be exciting about Emirates - the multicultural crew!

Thank you for your help! I will attend the Openday in Paris! It will be on October 28th and I am flying to Paris from Germany! I hope to make it through and that Emirates will offer me a further step! we will see! Anyhow, i wish all candidates who are planning to attend an opnday of Emirates good luck and maybe we see eachother in dubai or during a flight serving some coffee:-))))):O

I hear a long serving purser who left a couple of years ago is about to hit the skies with Emirates again! Great news if the rumour is true!

Hey All,
Is anyone attending the open day in ADL in November? I just finished crewing with a company and in only two weeks realised how much I missed it - I always wanted to work for Emirates anyway, so I figured now was as good a time as any. |

Wow! you are travelling thousands of miles just to get to an open day? i admire your persistence. :) I hope everything turns out the way you want it to be, so good luck. :) Flyoneday thanks for the well wishes. ;) what is the situation u are in, by the way? are u waiting for something? (dont we all? :p ) |
Hi flyoneday, yep, definately married and have been happily for over 2 years now! Hubby is also in the industry (but not with EK) so its easy for us to work. EK never use to hire married FA's but since then have seen the light :ok:
Cheers :p |

i want to know does ek really equal to everyone?what about the life style there?and any ek cabin crew can tell me r u happy there? thanks a lot Hey there Cosmopolitan - Been with EK since December. I'm still in the honeymoon stage, loving flying and travelling and such. The Dubai night life is very good, esp if you like to party, there's a particular nightclub that goes off on each night of the week. And you have the beach, shopping, and desert driving, and Ski Dubai, and so many other things within Dubai, plus all the wonderful things you get to do overseas. Some crew who are leaving behind partners in their home country, tend not to last that long, and return home fresh out of training college, but sometimes the desire to travel is just too much. There's also a lot to learn about the Muslim culture if you're not normally exposed to it in your home country. It's very easy to live a happy life here, make friends, and the contacts you make in college stay with you for ages. Also, Klintco mentioned the "Make Someone's Day video" they show at recruitment. Just to give you guys a heads up...On graduation day they get the new cabin crew to do a performance in abinitio groups at a time. There's a song played, you dance to it, and that's pretty much it. Don't freak out about it, You don't have to sing, and no one will hassle you about it for the remainder of your flying career, but you do have to do something a little fun. It's something to ask at the open day, that's for sure... |
