Hi Guys,
Just a quick thread. As a Cabin Crew Wannabe with a few interviews coming up, Can anyone tell me if BA have a certain "look" when employing? Just interested to know. Thanks guys.

Well, I'm glad you understood the question......I'm certainly too old to even begin to understand what this is about :hmm:

Regards

Hehehe...Wiggy, I think (but I could be hopelessly wrong) crewboy wants to know if BA have a certain physical look such as Virgin is supposed to have!!! Fortunately BA is not that shallow!!! :}

Hand Solo 28th March 2006 14:18

Gay would probably help you.

newbagr 28th March 2006 14:58

yer right....and dont forget to say it when you go theu reception.... i cannot believe that you d say something like that.....being gay doesnt give you a job....and you should be more careful with what you are saying

Hey Guys,
Thanks for your replies, I apologise if I have started something nasty, wasn't my intention.:bored:
This is my first set of interviews for Cabin Crew jobs and I just wanted to cover every angle.
I apologise once again

Crewboy:)

apaddyinuk 28th March 2006 15:10

Yeah, rather pathetic input from Hand Solo again! You do know that there are plenty of puffs sitting up your end of the plane too dont you???

No need for the apology, but I guess you've now got a bit more insight into the world and dynamics of BA.

Good luck at the interviews.

newbagr 28th March 2006 15:18

maybe look professional....prepare ba brands and look smart and you ll be fine...BA is looking for people who can adjust to situations...be happy cheerful people but not silly...i hope that helps...and handsolo i hope you dont belong to ba crew....

You might find that if you have bleached or obviously coloured hair that you may be asked if you are willing to change it (in order to comply with uniform standards), you'll need to cover any visible tatoos as well.

As with any interview you will need to present yourself well groomed (no designer stubble or over powering aftershave and be tidily dressed). My own pet hate is dirty shoes!

Good luck with your interview !

WeLieInTheShadows 28th March 2006 16:49

Unfortunatelty he is BA

I think Hand has highlighted the requirements of being pilot for BA:E

(Obviously there are always exceptions)

Go back to the pension thread and bleat how your so hard done by now you'll have to work to 60 to keep your ex wives in the style to which they are accustomed:}

Appologies to the mods for lowering myself to this level whilst not even being drunk.

Hey,
Thanks guys for all the advice, will take it on board. (I will be more cautious when posting a thread next time.lol)
Cheers.
Crewboy.:)

Da Dog 28th March 2006 17:15

Now now boys and girls, if you can't take the joke get out of the pprune kitchen;)

WeLieInTheShadows 28th March 2006 18:54

Mr Dog is of course one of the exceptions!;)

Big Hilly 28th March 2006 18:57

No, no 'look' really. Our CC are a fairly vairied bunch (some might say motley crew)! ;) Obviously if you turn up with a lime green mohican and a chicken bone through your nose, I wouldn't hold your breath but on the whole, we seem to look for the 'person within' . . .

Good luck!

No sweat crewboy - As soon as you'd made your original post, it was only a matter of time until some prat came up with one of the usual responses.

:hmm:
