First Choice Training Course
Hi Guys Ive just been accepted with First Choice and wanted to know if anyone else is starting on the 27th March. Im in brighton so if you fancy car sharing.
Also any imput on the training/company would be great Cheers Xxxxxxxx |
Training... No Idea....
Company... Long hours... Rude customers... Safe fleet... Nice colleagues... Most lilkely be let go atthe end of the season.... Make the most of it and enjoy it and wear that pink shirt with pride !!! Being perfectly honest FCA / AMM will always have a fond place with me.... All in all a good bunch of people From crew to Flight deck to Engineering to OPS... All cool :) |
Thanks for that. It sounds pretty much like my other airlines, and pink is def my colour. Looking forward to it.
I knew that it was only summer contract am hoping though that if i work hard no lateness etc that maybe I would be kept on !! Or be asked back what do you think XXxx |
I really couldnt give a plausable answer to that however I would hope that if you were to show loyalty then the gesture would be returned by your CC Manager.... Safe flying... :)

first choice= crap airline.
join the balpa, and if sick , contact them to know you rights! |
first choice at lgw is fab , the crew are the best crew out there, they wil make u feel welcome and help u no end. u wont get any winter work they havnt kept anybody on 4 the winter for 3 seasons, so there are quite a few people b4 u to get it. have fun:D
|
Just a quick question, probably wrong place to post, but does anybody know how long the summer contract with FCA is, and an approx start/end date? Weird question I know, but can't find the info on their site

First Choice
I started at First Choice LGW last April and can honestly say that I had a fantastic summer, the training is a blast and the crew are all fab. Just see it for what it is and don't get your hopes up to be kept on because as was mentioned before, this will be there fourth year of not taking anybody on after the season so there are literally loads of returners ahead of you if by any chance they do decide to keep a select few on this year!
You will have a fab season though and as long as you keep your nose clean then theres every chance of being asked back again next year and then you get to go long haul so its well worth it. I've just been succesful with getting a job at Virgin so I won't be going back to FCA but I will miss everyone loads!! |
Hi Flyboy
My contract is for 6 months starting on the 27th. It does say in my contract that it can be made longer or shortened. Hope this helps. R U starting also? |
as it will be my first season will it only be short haul. I was told in interview that it will be mixed is this the case
thank youX |
i'm starting training at bristol base on apr 3rd. they have told us that the approximate end date will be october 31st, but this could be shorted or lengthened depending on flight numbers/pax numbers etc i presume.
I'm really looking forward to it, even if it is just a summer contract it's all experience and they seem like a really good company to work for. good luck with the training!! has anyone started their e-learning yet? it's all a bit daunting! I'm worried they'll spot test us on it all at some point during training! |
e learning??????????????
I have yet to be told about this, should i be scared? |
Firstchoice interview
Hi
Congratulations on your job. I have a interview for Firstchoice at Gatwick base on the 27th March, could you give me any info as to what is involved on the day, and any info on what the Maths test is like:ugh: , I would appreciate anything you can tell me. Thanks in advance. Crewboy.:) :) |
Hi crewboy:D
The interview process was really good. The recruiters were very friendly and put you at ease. Prepare for your interview with research on the company, and for the test just refresh on your percentages and currency conversions. I have attended some awfull assessment days and this was really fun. Go be yourself and try and enjoy it. All the best for you Fingers crossed GOOD LUCK let me know how it goes maybe we will be flying together this season XX |

I know what you mean hun. Ive been cabin crew for several years now and have found my own way of memorising. I found it really daunting when i first started out.
What I try to do is spend a day on one drill, and keep writing it out until its perfect. Take time out fag, coffee etc. Then go back to it. Dont start on another until you are sure you have got it. With the diagram, make a mental picture:sad: of where everything goes. When there is alot of equipment such as smoke hood and portable oxygen put all over the place, I have colour coded them so at a glance I can see where they are. When it eventually sinks in which it will continue on the next challenge Good Luck you will be fine, its good that they have given us them now. In my other training courses there have been longer drills and shorter time to learn them. Dont worry:{ All the best:ok: XXXxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
thanks candyfloopot!! have memorised location diagram and 3 out of the 5 drills so far so not doing too badly!! i know i can do it its just time consuming! LOL i also think its gud we do them before the course to prepare us. just wish i didnt have a degree to finish at the same time ha ha!
