Cabin Crew Union Information/Recommendations Please

Hello everyone this is my first post.

Im seeking information to put forward to my colleagues in order to achieve union recognition as a company. However the union in which I've looked into is called T&G but gather that it's not airline specialised, not that it may matter but if anyone has feedback on them, or any other recommendations/advice it would be of great help. The main problem areas are payrises, roster agreements and general working enviroment.

I look forward to hearing from you all.:ok:

BASSA / Amicus CC89

The "specialised" bit of the T&G is known as BASSA (something like the British Airlines Stewards & Stewardesses Association, from memory): You can find them at http://www.bassa.co.uk/. Historically, they have been rather BA centred, although this is changing slowly.

An alternative would be Cabin Crew 89, although they may now be known as Amicus Cabin Crew 89 or even Amicus Cabin Crew at http://www.amicustheunion.org/Default.aspx?page=1197 (I'm sure that somebody in nthe kow will correct me on a follow-up post)

Both unions have their advocates, and their is sometimes bitter rivalry, which fortunately won't be demonstrated on this thread :E

Welcome to PPRuNe Mrs. Scotland.:}

CC89 seems to be the union of choice in our neck of the woods.
If you need any more information, get the big guy to call me.
