Defibrillators!

Where I work we introduced defibrillators 4 years ago. We did an initial training of 3 hours, and are kept current with a ground course of 1-2 hours per year. I was wondering how many airlines have defibrillators on board? Is it mandatory to have one on board in your country? And how do you get trained?

cabincrew at euromanx have been trained to use the defibs, as we carry many ill patients on the shuttle between IOM & LPL for the DHSS,

Don't know if it's mandatory or not but at BA we have one or more defibs on every aircraft. Training is done during the initial week long avmed course and in total about 6-7 hours are spent focusing on the machine and the procedures for using it. Everything is reviewed and practiced every year during the annual SEP check.
