Flyjet

Flyjet has its moments but in all it is a good company to work for.

Firstly most of the crew are fantastic. They really are a great bunch of people. If you've never flown before this lot will make you feel really welcome and will help you out in whatever way they can. :ok:

Secondly new aircraft is being fitted with seats and having all its work done, so fingers crossed great new destinations.:ok:

Flyjet 767

Well at last the crew have been told that a 767 is currently having all the neccessary work done to join the fleet.

The 767 will have 215 economy seats and 16 business class.

According to the flyjet web site:

"The company has operated its aircraft throughout Europe and to three continents, Africa, Asia and the Middle East."

:8 Last time I checked, Africa is a continent, as is Asia.
The Middle East is a geographic area which stretches from northeast Africa and into Southwest Asia.

Hope their web gurus are sent back to school.

r we bothered.......
still wont change the bad state and shambles the outfit is.get rid 757.delay after delay...

towers00 23rd August 2005 23:53

other destinations....but have u heard they r bullet trips, dont think there going to leave that on the ground to long, going by the battered 757.lets hope we get engineers who fix it to,instead like the 757,same broken problems, but being signed off ok....hence the massive delays during last month.poor manchester crew to,the (gatwick based airline),will prob base it at lgw,and operate mainly lgw crew.manchester to do leftover crap.there a nice airline to start flying as ur 1st job.at lgw there can be some horrors,Crew, and up there ass some, but thats lgw based airlines as a whole, when u get on the staff park coach..just look at monarch crew for 1.

Thunderball 2 23rd August 2005 23:53

Towers,

Is that comment really for real? Genuine question. I knock into Flyjet from time to time and they seem okay.

towers00 24th August 2005 13:52

oh yes real, not commenting on office staff but crew, soz to say this but im here.

upandup 24th August 2005 14:11

Erm.... why would flyjet be recruiting over 100 staff if they were going to be bullet trips?? Surely with the crew they have at the moment, thats far too many for 3 aircraft.

The length of trip will depend on the commercial demand of that destination. We've had 1, 5 & 10 day Amritsar's, 2, 5 & 7 day Accra's and 1,3,5 & 7 Day Tel Aviv's (which were all great trips) amongst others. There was also a Montreal and MAN crew got a Cancun.

Don't get me wrong, we have had our fair share of bullet trips but that was because of either lack of crew or because there was another flight to that destination the next day.
The problem with people is they dont give flyjet a chance

Flyjet Trips

Just got my roster for sept.... 12 sectors. But I have a week in Accra (Ghana) and a week in Freetown (Sierra Leone). Sounds Good.:ok:

concorde001 24th August 2005 18:07

What are the Amritsar, Accra and Freetown trips like? I mean do the crew enjoy the cities?
What is Amritsar like, as it is not a capital city like Accra and Freetown?
Cheers.

upandup 24th August 2005 20:35

Amritsar is a very poor area in india. You make the most of the trips. I have loved it. Did a trip down to dehli and to aggra to see the taj mahal. Accra is lovely. The manager of the hotel will do anything to make our stay enjoyable. the sierra leone trips are new. will tell u about it when i have been

lee.b 25th August 2005 00:37
