Fixed Termers
 

To all those fixed termers who were offered the 3 month contracts,
Have you attended the Sydney panel interview?
Have you heard back about what you are offered and does anyone have a permanant job yet?
Aparently, QF have sent out some emails with staff numbers and asking people to complete a refresher course. I have not yet received such an email and have not heard a peep from QF.
Am getting worried, it's coming up to Christmas and I'm sure we would all like to have the whole thing settled before the new year.

It will be interesting to see what the 3 month contractors get offered? if they're offered a permanent position with Qantas there will be a big uproar from casuals? see what happens i guess?

I'd like to think i'm wrong but im prepared to put everything i own on the theory we will get didly squat!!!!

Definatley no permanant positions.

Paris-flyer, i've been to the panel interview and have recieved the email about the refresher course thats about all I have heard.

Sounds negative i know but has anyone heard any positive signs?? if so please share them.

If you have a hotmail account, give them a call because apparently their server wont send group emails to hotmail??...

Here goes my story....

I was invited to go to an assessment centre at the Mercure Hotel back in July for a fix term contract of up to 10 months. This was for Language speakers only.

Got through that and invited to another group interview... Passed again..

Went to a Panel interview with two QF online staff and had the psychological test.... passed that and then was sent for the medical and criminal check.

Didn't hear anything for ages and then in October I was invited on the 3 month contract!! I was pissed!

Anyway, there was a person in my group that called them up this week and they were told that there would be offers made to people that went well in the new panel interviews in Dec. They were also told that 'you will be pleased with the offer'..... Another has been to a Jetstar interview.

I think that the offer will be something to do with the new airbus's.... What does everyone else think?
