Airline Food ?

Airline food has been the butt of comedians jokes for years.Has it gotten any better or as most believe...worse?
An Australian chef......Luke Mangan has just signed a contract with Richard Branson to oversee food on Virgin Airlines, resorts and rail.
Many will say who is Luke Mangan. Many still say who is Neil Perry. Before Qantas had Perry attempt a food reformation he was known only to a few elite foodies in Sydney.
Aside from all that, is airline any better? In economy its mostly chicken or beef, occasionally pasta, sometimes salmon, but still pretty much ordinary.
Hopefully there will be many opinions and perhaps some suggestions on how it can be improved.

We should ask the guy who lived on Mc Donalds for a month to do the same on airline food (perhaps 3 months - one month for each class) and then do a documentary on the results:\

The perception of good airline food is going to be different for everyone. That fact is you just can't keep everyone happy. It's not always going to be the airline that can control the food. It's the different catering companies at different ports and their ablity to get fresh food and supplies from their locations. I could go on and on about this topic but i have already posted some info about this topic. It's a very valid topic though. I might come back and revisit this post. (ex airline catering)
