tunisia

Hi,

Am off to Port el kantoui? sunday morning first choice Lut ,was wondering if anyone has any advice on holidaying in Tunisia as I have never been there before. Are there any Do`s & Donts? and also are there any cash machines( ATMS )out there as i was thinking of taking limited sterling and drawing out while i was there! Asked first choice if they could ask Captain if i could take jump seat for outbound but they wouldnt even entertain it (thanks Bin LARDARSE)!

cheers Keith

You can use your ATM card and credit cards no probs over there. Have a friend who reps in Soviva hotel in Port el Kantaoui & she's reported back that quite a few places are taking Euros in payment.

Am going out to Hamamet myself mid Sept on the same LTN flight.

cheers ;)

Bellend - as a PPL holder, I would have thought it not unreasonable for you to have known that any visitors to the flightdeck of commercial aircraft during normal operations is now forbidden by CAA rules ( even company staff on duty require specific authorisation )

hi willowman:

yes i am aware of the CAAs ruling ,I dont figure though as to how I should know this just because i have a ppl? Am i supposed to ban people sitting alongside me in the warrior!(its ok im being pedantic)
I travelled last year ,and the jump seat was organised for me through the captain. The condition was that i was locked in there with them for the duration of the flight,I was only pointing that for me its a real tragedy that these visits are no longer:ok:

And thanks to the activities of the IRA, I still don't have a rubbish bin at my local railway station !

I fear that the good old jumpseat days are gone forever but I have great memories of jollies up front on

Tridents
BAC 1-11's
Comet 4
DC-9
737's
747's
757's
767's
146's
Jetstream 41's
A318,19,20 and 21's

Getting the girlfriend of the moment onto the second jumpseat on a 757 was always a sure-fire knicker-dropper when we got home :E

Thanks guys !:ok:
