Wings

Hi everyone

Please help with your advice/ideas
Have been watching and learning heaps and heaps from you guys over a long period of time here is my question

I want to fly and not sure if

1. I am now to old 45
2. If QF, AO will actually be recruiting this year {My PASSION is Long Haul}
3. WHAT I can do to increase my chances of being selected

You see I have been there a few time

1979 QF Long Haul - School Start date my step son came to live with me ….

1989 QF Long Haul Pilots Dispute

2001 QF Sept 11 and AN falling over - on holds 12 months

As you can see I am a trier but my wings are starting to get a little beaten up.
I'v worked in the industry for AN for 14 years on the ground and have NO glorified ideas about F/A’s. I know what the job entails but also know it is a life style choice and one that I would jump at in the blink of an eye.

Apart from me growing wings what do you think? Will THEY still interview me on my Zimmer frame???

Thanks to all in advance

:D

Here in the UK, airlines are now more commonly looking for those with experience and life skills, more so than the young modellike image. Although there are upper age restrictions on some airlines, some are 36, some are 55, and so on.....

I don't know what the restrictions are in Australia, but my best suggestion is to contact all the airlines to check with them.

Go for those who operate short haul AND long haul routes. That way it is possible you may have a bigger chance of getting into shorthaul and moving accross.

Good luck!

easyJet would love to hear from you. They have been employing ex BA CSD's who have been forced to take retirement.

Complete the application form at the following link for cabin crew:

easyJet Cabin Crew Application Form

or if you have at least 1 years experience as cabin crew within the last 2 years then complete the application form below for fast track senior positions:

easyJet Senior Fast Track Application Form

I hope this helps and good luck. :ok:

Dont stress at all when I started with QF which was only a couple of years ago I was the youngest in my class and I was 30 there were 2 50 plus men plus a 50 plus women in my class so I wouldnt worry about age with QF at all. You can say a lot of bad things about QF but when it comes to equal opportunity they top the list of companies that stick to what they say.
