Eastern Recruitment

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone out there is in the know as to the waiting period from the interview / medical stage to training for Eastern?

Had the interview begining of Feb since then have done the medical - any ideas as to how long it takes for the ASIC to be completed and also any rumors of upcoming training dates?

Cheers!

Gosh asking how long the ASICs are taking to process is akin to asking how long is a piece of string :{

The wait has been up to 8 weeks, since they have a HUGE backlog. I would suggest that 5-6 weeks is about normal at the moment.

As for training dates, there aren't any scheduled to my knowledge, however aviation is a rapidly changing industry and Eastern often puts on training schools at short notice.

Having said all of that, Good Luck and congratulations :)

Thats a long delay - I thought it was just the standard Fed Police Name Check - has it become detailed recently?

I completed all my forms back in December and still no new ASIC, its due to expire very soon. Eastern have put crew through ground school and in-flight training in the past 2 months and now these crew are sitting at home doing nothing because they cant fly until they receive their ASIC (they can train on a temp security pass). I hope they dont have to wait months and months like existing crew.
