Just wondering if there is anyone out there who has been to one of the Thomsonfly Cabin Crew Assessment days and if you would give me any info on what happened, what they ask and what plans are made for the airline.

I have an assessment this coming Monday over at CVT.........I dunno what is gonna happen to us - when is yours!!!

Yeah mines on Monday too!

I am so so nervous and am thinking it is a bit like the Britannia assesment day!! Which ive heard is really intense!

But I suppose we will have to wait and see!

Well what did ya think? I still owe you the £'s for the coffee......sorry but I was whisked away before my interview time!

Hi all

I've just been offered a crew job with Thomsonfly! I start my training on March 15th for 2 weeks, is this the same course as you guys? Looking forward to it and counting the days down! Will be a bit of a shock as used to fly 757 + 767!! :{

What with all these rumours going on about CVT not happening and EMA the next base on the list - I dunno what to think.
IanJ - have you had anything from them yet - I am still waiting. Dunno if not hearing anything is good or bad news the way things are........

I STILL haven't heard anything yet - now am getting worried!

So - it looks like things are still a goer - even though alot of doodoo is flying around CVT flights.........

Will keep in touch......just been offered an interview with bmi longhaul at MAN - but a bit far and cant really move there at present! So - I'll keep hoping for CVT!

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you! Its D-day this week for CVT, this is when Thomsonfly and CVT find out if the plans for the new terminal will go ahead!!

Yes - it is a bit of a 'Do' isn't it this Terminal business. I did mention it in my interview - maybe thats why they didn't like me.
Do they send rejection letters or do you just never hear from them again?
Better cross our fingers and toes that things are a go ahead.....

Hi everyone

I think if you haven't heard for this long you should definately give them a call, find out what there up to!

My friend who went for an interview start of last week, phoned them yesterday and she starts training course on 5 April. So there's obviously a few courses planned! Hope that doesn't mean I'm on one of the first flights! Aaaaaah, all the media and fuss! As long as they get pictures of my good side! Better make sure my polo shirts ironed that day hehe!

Well - I dunno what to make of things now......

I called them this a.m. as you suggested and asked if the reason that I had heard nothing was because I didn't make it through?
She was a bit hesitant and said that Caroline MacIntyre (the girl in charge of recruitment) would be getting in touch with me on Friday.......................and that was that!!!
Could it be plan B and they have people who might be interested in going to NEMA put to one side...??????
Or have I just not got the job - and if not why didn't they tell me there and then?

I guess I'll have to sit on the fence until Friday and try not to drink too much!!!!!!

Wierd that eh! The only thing I can think of is that obviously she needs to speak to you personally!!

I don't think the thing about East Mids has anything to do with it I'm pretty sure were all the same boat after all theyre only recruiting for one base!! If or when it comes to it (which I dont think it will) then it'll be everyone who ops out of East Mids I'd have thought?

Maybe if you went for senior crew, they might have already filled all the senior positions? Or maybe they've just overlooked your paperwork somewhere! Who knows....not like Brit to be unorganised though lol! Slow sometimes, but not unorganised!!

I don't think they would have put you to one side for "Plan B" I really don't think it will come to having to base t-fly out of NEMA. After speaking to them at the interview they seem very certain that CVT will be the base and no other option had been thought of and is likely.

You really don't know what they look for but I have got my fingers crossed and hope its good news for you.
