hi
had worked for a while with cityjet based paris.
I must say the money is more in paris than being based in ireland.
there is only a couple of problems with the setup in this company.
no matter what your promised at the interview take it with a pinch of salt, never happens.you can have 20 yrs flying expierence as senior or trainer, you will be promied this ,but hey its just words..all seniors there are no more than 25,all ex transdair, joke transair.and most up there own asses if your in with the boss, and you dont mind grassing up.your get on well.
The french are the worst pax possible to.they will not speak anglais with you,at all,and rude well they have always hated and envied us.The crew enjoy a good drink session i must say, thats good.you need it after the long days you do,x2 sectors in the morning, then stuck in the room til evening when you carry out another 2 to 4 sectors.
good luck
theres better airlines and conditions out there..

Thanks for your reply lovegerd.

As you worked with them I have a few questions for you or any other Cityjet crew. The first is- Are most of the staff Irish in their Paris base or is made up of mostly French?
What is the cost of living like in Paris where the crew live. Their website dosen't give any indication of salary and I'm sure Paris is an expensive place to live.
If based in Paris is it easily possible to transfer back to their Irish base in Dublin after a number of months if you wish to do so?
Are there many overnights in places like malaga etc?

Thanks again,
Carol S

Hi Carol S,

I've been working for Cityjet as a Paris based cabin crew for 9 months now. This is my first experience as a flight attendant and i can still say i enjoy it a lot.

Most of the employees here are european : French, Belgium, Spanish, German and Irish of course.
What makes this company attractive is the nice salary ( around 2100 Euros after tax and more if you work more). However, be prepared to work a lot 4 sectors a day and a lot of early flights.
They give a 3 years contract.

Transfer from Paris to Dublin is possible. I don't know anything about malaga flights cause these are operated only by irish based crew.

It is a small company, most crew are friendly. the aircrafts are old and small. this is probalby why passengers seem to be so stupidly unfriendly when they get into the a/c.

Good luck ! it's nice to work for cityjet (for a while... not forever) ;)
