hi all,

I know this may fall into the wrong catagory, but is anyone off to the Gatbash this year? I will be based in gatwick in Nov so I am thinking of going. Can I bring anyone along? Is it worth the night out? What goes on - big piss up? What do you wear?

sounds fun but not sure whether I'll be a loner on the night :\

You wont be a alone, this will be my second gatbash so im still trying to put the faces onto the nicks ( And already know a few on the regular pproooners ) ... But its a good social event for the aviation community here at PPRuNe and not only.

Always fun, does anyone know if 6Squid will be playing? Or has he retired?

A loner at a Gatbash??? No way! Consider lots of people are in the same position as you. Never saw anyone in a corner by him/herself. The problem is the opposite! Too many nice people to meet and too short a time!
Bring someone along if you think he/she is interested in the industry and pprune.
About the dressing code: there isn't any. Some dress up (especially ladies), some wear funny t-shirts, some (like Pprune Radar) show up in kilt and some dress like every day (but don't forget the Gatbash is held in a nice hotel).
