Hi everyone, i was wondering you anyone could help me out. Does anyone know what a Police Clearance Certificate is, is it like a criminal background check done bye the NSW police service, or is it done bye the Federal Police, would anyone know how much it cost to abtain this.

What exactly is a Police Clearance Certificate?

Easy: It is a document certifying your clearance by the police.

Yes a police clearance is a certificate issued to you that states you have no criminal convictions. Qld is currently $35 for a standard check - which covers all Australian States and Territories. After you have requested your certificate from a police station it can take from 1 - 2 weeks to be issued by mail.
