QF Long Haul Language Test

How difficult is the language test? Is it written and oral?

From memory, when I originally did mine it was oral and translating .... there were two tests, one through the UNSW and then during the interview process- one with QF.

When I went through, the 'Advanced Fluency' required was Level 4 .

Level 1 being conversational fluency and Level 6 being native fluency (ie raised with the language) ... so level 4 is somewhere around the top end of fluency in lanaguage.

Contact the UNSW school of languages - they should be able to clarify ... it has been over 5 years since I did mine !!

Hope this helps :)

I did the Japanese UNSW test a month ago. It does require a bit of work but I got a better result than I thought I would. They have examiners all over Australia

Good Luck!

It is worth it the extra effort
