Weight issues?

Has anyone on here been told to keep the weight off or they will lose their job?

Well obviously I can only speak for myself and the answer is no.

Well aliciab, that would be illegal in most jurisdictions, and while you might find company training programs that suggest keeping the weight off for personal and professional reasons, to threaten a job would be a human rights violation.

Yep, in my part of the world, female flight attendants are required to stay within the green BMI band, if they aren't, they are given a written warning and 12 months to achieve it, if they still haven't, then they get 3 months unpaid leave, after that they will be terminated if they haven't achieved it.

Pilots also have to have a BMI of 30 otherwise they might have to undergo all sorts of additional annual medical tests.
