Poppy and uniform rules

This is a bit late but I was passive on a UK flight and heard ( what I presumed to be the senior) instructing a young cc to remove her poppy as it was not part of uniform regs.

Surely this cannot be right? What are the views of other UK operators.

Didn't know FIFA ran an airline....?!!!!

Of course it is not right. Remembrance Sunday is a National event and the poppy is the emblem of it.
No one has the right to tell anyone not to wear a poppy, uniform regulations included. How can you be ordered not to demonstrate your respect for those who died and were maimed in the service of their country?

I hope the young cc stood up for herself.

The Senior needs some gentle words of advice, imho.

What a shame that the airline concerned don't make poppy wearing clear one way or the other. When I was flying most of the crew wore poppies up to 3 days before the 11th.

Our airline asked us to remove our poppies a few years ago. We refused. We explained why we wear them. We now wear poppies.

We all wore poppies in my day every November, was unusual not to. FD as well. But those were the 'Phil Collins days"... No Jacket Required 😉
