Dimming lights for takeoff

Hello, I'd like to know what your company policy is regarding cabin light intensity for takeoff and landing, dim or off.

Side panel lights completely off, aisle/center cabin lights dimmed. Always the same regardless of if it's day or night.

I always understood the policy was to improve the appearance of the Cabin Crew.
