Ryanair advice for a passenger
 

My wife was due to fly tonight with Ryanair but she has really bad food poisoning and is quite ill. We purchased the Ryanair travel insurance, does this cover a missed departure...

First of all, I hope she makes a rapid recovery.

Make sure you get a medical certificate immediately from a doctor certifying that she is unfit to travel for 'x' number of days. Without that you may as well not bother even trying to claim.
