Cabin Crew medicals

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering whether cabin staff in Australia also need to have and maintain a medical certificate for their job?
Thanks for any answers.

Cheers

Nope apart from the initial pre employment one

Well that's not true, we used to have to but the training was provided by the airline (talking about my airline only here). It is no longer a recognised "senior first aid" qualification but we DO have to get training on it once a year (CPR) and refreshers every few years (again all conducted by the airline and rostered during work hours). :)

^ I think F/O is referring to if they need to have a medical/physical performed on them every now and then, nothing to do with 'first aid' certifications.
