Monarch - Sparkling Rose
Hi,
Flew with Monarch last month and the wife really enjoyed the sparkling rose. :ok: Much appreciated if any Monarch crew could advise what it is?? |
Sparkling Rose
The sparkling rose we have on board is Schloss Trier Rosé de Blanc et Noir.
As far as I am aware it is not widely available, but would be happy to be corrected. |
Thanks
thanks Gleysh,
Wife had said it was schlob or similar ?? Having googled it can see why. Now the challenge to source some for Xmas. |
You're welcome. Let me know if you manage to find any!

Airlines choose wines that will taste good at altitude. The same wine may not taste the same at sea level.

That only holds true for the first 2 glasses..:p |

By 'Eck, Doris, these airlines are really pushing the boat out! Nearly a fiver a bottle and we get a glass each!
For a slightly sweet Rose, absolutely full of flavour, try a "white" Zinfandel or Grenache....Blossom Hill is the most widely available and can be had "on offer" (but not this time of year! )and doesn't have the slightly bitter after-taste of some. at a similar price to the German product above....otherwise , whatever they can screw you for (usually 5.45 ) remember T***o give an extra 5% discount on 6 assorted bottles,as well as points...also keep an eye on A**a...play one against the other and stock up when an offer is on. |

I assume you were in First Class.
