Monarch Crew - Bit of help please!

Hello!

Booked me and the Mrs onto a ZB534/533 MAN PMI MAN returning a fortnight later

Now here's the thing we've got infant twins 11 months old when we go....

I tried to book two seats adjacent to each other with some legroom but unfortunately the only seats it would let me book were "infant enabled" and we're separated from each other.....

Now I'd love to tell you my wife (stay at home mum) is worrying about it but in reality It's me panicking as my wife will be able to cope fantastically and be able to watch me struggling with a wriggly infant for 2:20 .....the thought of it entertains her greatly.....it will indeed be a very entertaining start to her well deserved holiday....

to put some detail on it we've got 2A & 4C o/bound and 5E & 5B I/bound

I would have happily taken a lesser legroom seat if it meant we could be sat together but there wasn't that option either, I'm quite partial to a self made coffee and croissant in the cruise so not as svelte as I once was......

So am I chasing my tail thinking we might be able to be sat together and if there is a chance is there a telephone number I can call?

DOF 21/4 and the 5/5 2 weeks later...

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I just know she's going to palm me off with the chunky one to try to entertain for 2 hours!

Cheers

Whilst I don`t work for Monarch I have operated on the same aircraft type and it comes down to the number of emergency oxygen masks. Usually there is 1 extra per set of seats, hence having to be sat across the aisle from each other.

For example a set of 3 seats would have 4 masks, 2 seats would have 3 masks and so on.

I hope this helps.

The 1st reply is correct, the rule of thumb is that if you're flying on the airbus 321 or 320 we have 4 masks on odd numbered rows and 3 masks on even numbered rows, however, some of our aircraft have 4 masks available at all rows of seats(8 if you include both port and starboard sides). If there is space on the side opposite to the other half you may be able to sit closer, or if one seat is free on either of the rows with 4 masks, you will be able to sit together, ie 2 adults and 2 infants per 3 seats, plus you maybe able to put the infants down for a while during the flight. Either way the crew will be on hand to offer you assistance throughout the flight to warm bottles/food, and we have changing facilities available in most washrooms onboard our aircraft should you require this.
Also pushchairs are carried free of charge and can be used to carry the children all the way to the aircraft door (but on arrival will need to be collected at the outsized baggage carousel).
Baby food/drink is allowed to be taken through security too as long as it is kept to a minimal amount, however you may be asked to test it by tasting it at security check point at Manchester Terminal 2.
And just to let you know, you can ask these sorts of questions on monarchs official facebook page facebook.com/monarch and tweet @Monarch/
I hope this helps!

Come on... It's 2:20!!!!!

Really, you have to relax! You are a grown man and father, sitting across the aisle for 2:20 with YOUR own child shouldn't make you freak out!?!? But anyway here's my advise: What I've observed very often is, the kids feel it when their parents are stressed. The relaxed parents (I've seen mothers traveling alone with two infants and a toddler no problem!!) just have a good time whereas the nervous ones are the ones with screaming children! And no, it's not that they are relaxed because of good kids/ stressed because of bad kids. It's still the parents that influence their kids and not the other way round! You will be absolutely fine, really there's nothing to worry about!

Thanks all!

Thanks to every body who replied, it's been very helpful managed to speak to Monarch who were able to tell me which aircraft it was and checked the layout and managed to work some magic.

So additional thanks to all who PM'd as well - I'm very grateful.

Upshot is we're close enough now and on the aisle so it does make things much easier.

Seja...you're quite right, we got into parenthood quite late 2 at a time! In fairness the Mrs is totally laid back about it and was planning on bringing some popcorn and watching me sweat for the duration! The boys are very laid back just like mum so I'm sure it will be fine

It's the adjacent pax I feel sorry for!

Thanks again everybody
