Back to the skies

Hi everyone!

I want to know your opinions...The thing is that I was a cabin crew for 2 years and a half. I had an injury and I had to stop flying due to it. It really pissed me off because I loved being a cabin crew. I had surgery and all and now I feel fine again.

My concern is that It's been now 5 years since I stop flying and I am almost 30. I've been working in other jobs but nothings fills me more than being a cabin crew and somedays I am sad remembering my days as cabin crew. I like to rejoin, but the question "why did you resign?" worries me. If I say that It was due to an injury...recruiters might think that I am not a good candidate...they might have a look to my records and see that I had many sick days due to that injury... I know I can be many things but I feel like nothing can compare to the life I had being a cabin crew .

What should I do? If there is someone out there specialize on HHRR who can give me some advise I would appreciate, but any opinions are welcome.

I say apply for the job. If you're asked the question, just answer that you suffered an (I'm assuming non-work related) injury that stopped you flying, and that you eventually ended up having surgery which corrected it.

And finish by saying you are quite happy that the company medical will confirm your full fitness. That's what they are there for.

yes, apply. The worse that can happen is they say no. If you dont apply you will never know.
