Well the time has come again JQD crew. Any thoughts on what the future may hold for us?? We need to stick together on this one and show a united front, not only for us, but for our colleagues in TJQ.

We applaud Eastern crew on their firm stance in their last EBA, and look forward to seeing the guys at Virgin Blue triumph in their current negotiations.

I believe the most important issue is daily duty hours. Our current 11hrs/4 sectors and 12hrs/2 sectors is long enough!! How many more hours can this company expect us to work:ugh:

Totally agree old boiler with duty hours. Enough is enough!!! The company will be really pushing the OHS issue having crew working up and down the east coast of Aus doing 11hrs then driving home. Majority of crew will not work longer daily hours and will not reduce there rest. Part time release of slots another big issue. I think the company are aware they are in for a fight this time. Crew have had enough!!!! We now see how the team JQ crew get treated and we dont want to go down that path. $$$$ dont equal lifestyle when you are constantly tired.

I'm really surprised that any company is pushing for duty hours beyond 12hrs. Honestly that does become a safety issue as the human body isn't designed to be awake more than 16hrs in a day. You have to have time at home, awake to do the normal things like eat, have a shower etc. This is really appaulling.

You'd think an airline would know that flight attendants aren't just there to man the trolleys. You can hardly expect someone to open an emergency exit if they are already dead on their feet. :eek:

Flight hard guy & stick together. Support the union. A lot of people will be watching this one closely.
