Interesting Prog?
There is a programme in UK on ITV1 this coming Tues (24th March) called CONFESSIONS.
According to the write-up, it features flight attendants admitting 'their misdemeanours, revealing what really goes on in the cockpit and behind the galley curtain away from the unsuspecting eyes of their passengers'. Might be interesting ... or more likely, the usual TV claptrap that bears no relation to the real thing! Still, I shall be watching it to see. :hmm: |
What really goes on in the cockpit and galleys?? That we're all having rampant sex and trying to get one over on each other so we can be in the Daily Star??
Sadly the truth is hard worked, stressed out, busy Cabin Crew working all the hours the airline will give them (like the pilots do) and paid peanuts for the respective hours they put in. But still, I managed a quick grope of the FO, had the Captain's babies, married 4 different flight deck members and spit in every coffee I serve..... I think thats what they're after! Glad to see another tip top show of high caliber........:rolleyes: |
I can't wait! Please someone put it on Youtube and post the link for those of us outside the UK!
|
Great!! - another programme set out to belittle our jobs! As if it isn't hard enough to be taken seriously the majority of the time, this is is gonna help no end!
|
you're not implying that nothing untoward ever goes on are you?:mad:
|
God knows, but I don't have time to fart let alone get up to anything and to be honest thats the last thing on my mind.
(Plus our flights decks are tiny and we don't have galley curtains lol!) |
Looks like its been removed now from tonights TV and replaced with Confessions of a Salesman
|
I was looking forward to this, haha, anyone know why it got changed and when it'll be on again?
|
Guys, I am so sorry - I got it wrong! :O Well, no, I didn't actually get it wrong. It was listed in the TV listings magazine and in today's daily newspaper.
Do you think it was pulled due to recent air tragedies? But, even so, it seems somewhat unnecessary IMO. Perhaps they will show it next week. :cool: |
Do you think it was pulled due to recent air tragedies? I see with the recent cuts being made by ITV, real drama programmes etc may become a thing of the past, did hear a figure of £500K - £1M an episode for some of them. |
This would have been a repeat of a programme made at least two years ago.
The producers London ITV Studios actually posted on Pprune to get crew to sell their stories, real or fantasies. |
What's George doing?
Would make a riveting programme. Can you imagine the scandal? The flight gets into the cruise, George takes over, and, horror of horrors, the FO does the crossword.
Scandalous. |
Oh Dear, Not more TV Drivel.
Don't forget we already have every night -' Nobenders', 'Emmaroyd Farm', And 'Constipation Street' 'Those actors (Or they think they are) must be on a cracking wage all day every day - No recession at the BBC!! I sadly won't be watching the 'Drivel' That ITV1 MONARCH performance last year was enough for me!! |
This programme was absolutely shocking...It wouldn't surprise me if the majority of it was made up!! Plus it tars us all with the same brush, now passengers will come onto our planes thinking that's what we all do!! I thought it might be quite a funny show, but it was actually quite cringeworthy!

The problem is that there are 2 very different views:
One which is is the public view that our life is glamourous and it is enhanced by the likes of "the Virgin Ad"!! Yeah - I wish my uniform was made by prada and looked that good! I was actually asked once whether we wear heels that high when working! - well I do anyway lol. 5-star hotels, clubbing and then off to the FOs hotel room etc...blah blah The other view is that what comes from a few of our low cost airline colleagues where the work is bloody hard, you have to pay for your uniform (and training in some cases) and the money is not very good.And to top it all, rather than landing in a 30'c airport with blazing sunchine, you actually land in rainy glasgow or Leeds! The truth is this job is excellent if you are with the right company and have done a couple of years. International flights (especially night time flights) are excellent. Work for 2 hours, turn the cabin lights off, and chat with the team in the galleys for 6 hours. Then back to work. Money good, hotels good, sun goooooood! And when you have this much fun and you are surrounded by the whole atmosphere, the sun, the sand, the hotels, then yes, what you do see on those rubbish TV shows actually does happen.....(only some of it though) But I do agree that programmes like that do tar the whole Cabin Crew with the same brush. What I was pointing to was the more "amicable" side of the life of a flight attendant. |
At last - someone who recognises all the fun happens in the FO's room! :}
Take that, you fat, balding Captains. ;) |
Haha otto throttle! Gave you a big head right.
now why did i say that! |
Arf! Arf! Arf! :}
