Amercian Passport Holder

Hi
I would like some advise please for my sister-in-law, whom has just moved over to the UK and is looking for a lob as a Flight Attendent. The thing is she looked at Netjets and they want an EEC passport holders only, she has an Americian passport with a working visa stuck inside so she can get a job in a shop no problem but it seems the airlines want you to have an EU passport!
Any advise please would be greatful. Surely she can get a cabin crew job if she has the correct working visa's right?

Cheers

Proper passport (or visa)

I agree with you.
If the lady has a UK work and residence permit, the passport does not matter.
However...
It may be that the company states "EU passport" for simplicity.
Writing "permanent resident and work permit" could be misunderstood by foreign applicants.
I would, in her case, write a letter to HR mentioning the fact, clearly stating the facts.

To be mentioned, however is this...
Some countries however allow EU citizens to enter without visa, i.e. Brazil.
But an American citizen would require a visa, i.e. in Brazil.
It would be the employee's responsibility to obtain such visa.
And a last minute rostering for that flight would require a crewmember with EU passport.
So that might be the only limitation.

Hope this help
:)
Happy contrails
