Qatar Training

Hi everyone.

I'm doing a resit paper for University and would like to hear from any current or former Qatar crew regarding the training course.

I'm aware of their T&Cs, so not really looking for info in that area. I really just need to know:

What the break down of the training is. I believe it is a 7 weeks course, is that correct?
Are you trained on all aircraft types?
Are you trained in all classes of service?
Does the course run office hours Sun-Thurs?
Are the standards really high?

Really hoping someone can help with this. PM if you'd rather. It would be a big help with my assignment.

Cheers

Training is seven weeks (used to be eight weeks) and six days a week. Either morning or afternoon sessions depending on availability of instructors, rooms and equipment. Ditching is in DXB the day after your graduation.

Trained to work on all aircraft types. Economy trained. Expect to be premium class trained, if you perform well, after around a year. It depends on your performance. Perform lousy and you will be stuck in Economy for a very unforeseen future.

Standards are very high. Expect to be treated like a five year old.

My personal opinion: Not worth it!

Thanks Londonlads, much appreciated.

Don't worry, this is just for an assignment at uni. I'm quite happy here at Waterworld.

Funny, my uni is just down the road from Old Street Station. I often pop into Ironmonger Row on my way home.

Ironmonger Row is very good! Next time, pop in for a coffee!

Let me know if you need any more info on QR.
