Jet Star Per Base

I was wondering if anyone knew about the Jet star base that is meant to be opening in Perth?

Jetstar are opening a base in Perth.


Smartness aside - operating by mid-September 08. In regards to Cabin Crew, it's to be a Team Jetstar base, staffed completely in-house through transfers at this stage. All external recruitment on hold (including those mid-process in PER) due fuel crisis/drought in the middle east/arab sheik has stubbed his toe - whatever the excuse is this week.

From what I've come to understand, other bases (either Team JQ or SYD/MEL/CNS) will be crewing the initial flights from PER?

Yes, JQ are getting overnights! LOL The domestic's won't know what to do with themselves and actually have a reason to have a wheelie bag!

I was wondering if they had put it on hold as I had not heard anything and I had applied! I left QF a few months ago and have decided I miss flying but noone is recruiting anymore atm hehe
