No trick.

It cant be cabin crew member if there is only one of then on the flight, how can a person be a member of a one person crew (excluding some captains!)

Singular - Flight Attendant.

Surely it's the same? Like fish and sheep is the same singular and plural.

The English language contains a number of nuances which are difficult to explain but are just learnt, used and accepted.....and this is one of them.

Not referring to recent experiences...

However, I do think a monarchy could encompass a group of cabin crew... Whether it be queens or princesses... They all believe they should be wearing the crown.

I'm afraid r3please that it is part of our culture to shorten sentences and phrases.

You would hear something like 'What she do?" and the answer "She's Cabin Crew"

At the same time you could say when asked what you do for a living "I'm Cabin Crew" or are you going to apply for the position as Cabin Crew?

It's not part of our language that I like but it's there.....part of it probably because flight attendant sounds so sterile or politically correct you don't like saying it....

I believe as Pilots, the collective is a whinge............................

Sorry it was invited ;-)

Flight Attendent no, joking aside, the primary role is safety and aircraft operation, therefore it must be Cabin Crew, singular or plural?
