"Head Bag" to put it, is an excellent boss, very fair, and does not put up with c**p. Very good knowledge of aviation. Don`t try pulling the wool over her eyes.....

I heard Prime are recruiting but it is not for full time employment, its a type of support cabin crew position. Work will be available as and when required by the company.

So what contracts do Prime have lined up? Someone who was previously offered Cabin Services Manager with Prime said that it would be an excellent number, but there was just no work. (Understandably, due to the present global situation). Was there not crews made redundant just a while ago? Would be interested, Euroboy, to find out who the new CSM is......has she been working out of the country recently?

Yes indeed Prime are part of that venture and, yes also they have just laid a number of staff off @ EMA. The work is standby only, the basic is average but the allowences good, so you can only earn decent money if you're busy. And they're not. Know someone employed there for three months, only did 2 week long trips (BGI?) and a 3 or 4 day Dubai. Hope this helps.

Nope. The CSM has not worked abroad. Been very UK in fact.

As for Line Trainers heard one was not too good, and there are no shortage of excellent trainers around. Being a very small airline, the CSM would be able to train for a short time. And excellent she would be.

Think you may find you don`t need to be checked out on an aircraft type to train in the classroom. Of course it does help make training easier. And if you are pointing to the new CSM @ Prime they have been checked out the other weekend. You only need a sector.
The new CSM @ Prime does know what is what, and been on the block a while. She has more ablity to train than most, including SEP, recurrent First Aid, Secruity, service. The CAA are very much aware of the CSM ablities, and have known her from previous airlines.

Why did PRime find it necessary to recruit this woman, when they had a perfectly capable person there already.
A spectacular crew member, vast experience on the A300, wrote part of the training program - trained new crew - and after all that she gets shafted by management.
Another crew member, also a NO1, helped with training and so on, has also resigned, and returned to DUB.
The new Manager, has no experience on the A300, and from what I hear, little experience with in the ad hoc market.
How can PRIME survive with only a handful of crew available - if a contract arose tomorrow, they could not complete it.

Also believe they will face competition from next year when another A300 operator will base their aircraft at MAN !

Oh, irishcc!! Is that why she got pregnant, or were you the one to blame?? That's why she left!! And do you mean the No1 who has resigned, apparently to go to Farnair as CSM - presumably the A300 MAN operator (Farnair/Eagle)? I know this site is for rumours, but the facts often help.... :D :D :D

"This woman" was probably recruited because she was good, and has experience.
The new CSM has lots of experience in both charter and schedule operations, been an AOC holder for at least 2 other airlines.
Her experience is mainly on charter work and adhoc charter is very little difference.
With all due respect as you notch up the years one tends to find most aircraft fairly simliar to another. And the new CSM has many years of experience on wide body jets. The A300 will be another type on her belt.

In the same breath I can not help notice that some peoples lack of experience is showing through, and have no idea of what are the correct procedures in training, and general information regarding management in an airline.
What you guys have to realise is that the airline you once worked for is dead and gone, and trying to rebuild that company in this new airline does not work. Also, believe it or not, however hard it is for you, and I really find this difficult to say BUT. The airline can continue without you. No company I have ever worked for went out of business because I left it. (And I`m bloody wonderful as well :)) In this present climite the employer can call the shots. Just look at your Irish low cost airline back in DUB.
All airlines are having difficulties. You have the likes of Swissair, Sabena gone. Even the likes of BA-once in BA you`re safe is no longer true.
The new CSM has been crew orientated in other airlines, and no doubt she will be in Prime. She will be willing to help you, guide you and she is worth listening, watching and learning from. Its unfortuate, that these time have been difficult for everyone, but please stop showing your bittereness because the NEW CABIN CREW MANAGER does know what she is doing and how to do it.

ad hoc is nothing like normal charter work ie bucket and spade.

just glad i am not on aircraft that is being op by someone who is not checked on aircraft what does it say about the rest of them

Oh tortoise I`m really not interested in working for Prime or any other adhoc airline, with little in the way of perks, and possible lack of work, together with taking a wee pay cut.
I have done a few adhoc flights and if you want to call it special then I`ll let you. :rolleyes:
I hope you manage to find another job with the aviation industry soon, its been a tough couple of months.

general my facts are checked, and what I have said in previous posts are correct. BUT I`m willing to be enlightened on anything which is incorrect and look forward to constructive feedback.

Still nothing to say that PRIME wont just abuse the "talents" of this woman - and make her redundant also !!!!!!

Hales and Pace - Come clean and tell us how many times the Prime A300 has left EMA since 01/11/01.

Irish that is very possible she will be used and abused, but if euroboy is right she seems strong enough to stand up for herself.Will need to as the DFO is slightly insane to say the least.And presume she reports to him.

are the cabin crew getting hit with the pay cut as understand it is all on minimum wage take the cut for so called 4 months, anyhow with GO coming to EMA you should all be ok for JOBS but will not do recruit much good for Prime <img src="mad.gif" border="0"> <img src="mad.gif" border="0"> <img src="rolleyes.gif" border="0">
