returning to flying after having children

i have just found out i am expecting my first child, i work for a long haul airline and have the choice to return to work part time after the baby is born which is an average of 10 days a month and can include 1 nine day trip or 2 five day trips! my partner is a pilot and works un sociable hours, i would really appreciate any advice from anybody in the same situation or who could give me some advice on childcare, thankyou!

I am trying to get my first position as a flight attendant. I have children and my best advice is book into childcare asap.Try to find a community base one, they are better, not just out to make a profit. Also start networking with close friends and family if possible. Hope all goes well for a happy and safe pregnancy.

I had to hire someone to look after my son when I'm flying (LH too). She comes home and sleeps here if we're away (dad's a pilot like in your case). He's spent every Summer since he was born with my parents who move seaside from June to September.
I'd find very difficult to spend 9 days in a row away, especially when the child is very little. In my experience, after 3 days they find it hard and start asking for Mum even if they're with Dad or Gran. I think I'd go for the 5+5 option.
Good luck :)
