something effective in concealing a scar
 

been taken on as a cabin crew ( this my first time though) and would start somewhere next month. i would be very grateful if someone could give me a tip on how to conceal a scar i have on my legs.
Also is it compulsory for all cabin crew to wear stokings?

when I started working as a flight attendant i was a bit worried about the scar i have on my hand. it goes ocer the whole top of the hand and is about 10cm in length. At that time it was quite visible as it was a bit red.
I covered it with camouflage make up (for example http://www.apresmakeup.com/faq.asp). The one I used was a creamy paste that was "dusted off" with powder to make it waterproof. it really wored well.

just want to add here, that the brand i liken in my first post is not a recommondation. i just wanted to show, what camouflage-make-up is.

scaguard is great but I think is for removing a scar rather than covering one. When you put it on it goes kinda white but is great at helping dull the scaring and got rid of one on my cheek in no time.

BIO OIL, BIO OIL, BIO OIL.

I have a huge surgical scar on my arm that I got following an operation to have pins placed in it after an accident 6 months ago. I have been back to work 2 months now and started using BIO Oil just after I went back. In the last 6 weeks or so my plainly fresh gross looking scar has become smooth and almost invisible unless up close!

Im not sure how your scar may look against your black skin but my biggest problem with mine was not so much the discolouration but the fact that the skin was very uneven along the length. Following the BIO Oil it is now a lot smoother!

How much is Bio Oil and where can you buy it from?

Bio oil is about £9 for a small bottle, and is best used on newish scars. If they are years old, don't expect to see an improvement. You can get it in Tesco, Boots etc. It's much cheaper in America and can be bought in the likes of Walgreens. Pregnant women swear by it to help prevent stretch marks.

My wife is using scarguard to hide a scar on her arm, it seems to be working perfectly well, there is also a product called medi-derm which also diminishes the appearance of scars. One is silicon based the other onion based.

Both I've seen to be effective.

These products are not cover ups but scar reduction creams.
