Air France Question!

Hi everyone!

Im just wondering does anybody know how air france recruit cabin crew?
I know that to become cabin crew at AF you need something called a CSS (I think it is short for Certificate Securite Sauvetage) If this is the case than it must be some type of safety course or certificate???

Does anybody know how to actually obtain a CSS and whether Air France recruit people who are not french (even if they speak French!);)

Thanks in advance!

Hi eurofly,
The CSS is a qualification that's mandatory to work as cabin crew in France. You need to check but you pay quite a lot for it and it just allows you to apply for cabin crew jobs...
Have a look at this web site http://pnc.neuf.fr/metier/css.htm
Bonne chance :)

Eurofly,
you need the CSS to work as a CC in France. It costs around 1500€. It's a 2 weeks course, followed by a written exam. If you are successful, after 2 months (and a 2 days refresher) you'll have a practical exam. It's not that complicated. At the moment AF only recruits people with CSS (it has not always been like that, but has been since 2001).

AF recruits (and welcomes!) people of all European nationalities, but requires a good level of French.
