Hi bcg&gloves.

Well, I got the email inviting for an interview/assessment last week of feb :D :D :D

I'm getting nervous already though as I really want to give this Virgin Position a go.

I'm scared :{

tiggerific_69 6th Feb 2007 13:05

hi guys, ive also got an interview on 27th Feb. Does anybody know how far it is from the short stay car parks mentioned in the email, to Concorde House and how you get there,as i intend on driving to the interview because i wont be able to get public transport (im staying out in the sticks a few miles from gatwick)

johnezy 6th Feb 2007 14:25

hi, from the short stay car park (remember what level and row cause it's hudge!) enter the terminal for depatures. Walk through to zone A, thats where the Virgin check in desks are, also easyjet oppersite. if you look in the corner you will see the easyjet ticket desk next to that are some toilets and two sets of big double doors. Go through these dorrs and down the stairs. This will bring you outside, and you'll be looking at Concorde house. All the main airlines have their crew rooms here. look right and you'll see the entrance, go in! on your right will be a coffee shop and in front of you are some lifts, get in! go to the second floor and you will be met by some very friendly Virgin crew who will take it from there!!!

It take about 10mins to walk from the car park to the Virgin crew room, and will cost you £9 ish for the car park. best of luck and have fun :ok:

FLYING GER 7th Feb 2007 10:23

Hey Tigerific69,:)

I applied online last Thursday and heard by email on Monday 5th feb that i have an interview on 27th Feb @9am.

I have not received any further communication on this and have booked my flights to fly down from GLA that morning.

I got the ref form to be completed and in the process of filliing this out just now.

Nice to know someone else is on an interview that date!

johnezy 7th Feb 2007 20:09

well here we go another day and nothing im afraid.:{ never mind though there's still plenty of time lol! i have heard that instead of phoning you they send your result by post so will now have to keep an eye out for the post man. Just hope it doesn't get lost in all this snow we are supposed to be getting!! Wish i was working for them now though as it's freezing and a little trip to DXB or MBJ would go down a treat!! :)

ARGON1980 8th Feb 2007 01:50

how does virgin contact you to tell u that u got an interview??

FLYING GER 8th Feb 2007 07:17

I applied online last Friday and got an email on Monday inviting me for a group interview on 27th Feb.

Depends how you applied online?

If it was by paper based then you would get a letter i think.

How long ago did you apply?

bcf&gloves 8th Feb 2007 14:02

Hi Tiggerific 69!
If you applied online I would have thought you would have received an e-mail. I applied online and got an email approx 2 days later inviting me to an assessment on the 15th Feb. Is there anyone else on here going to be there on that day?
Johnezy - I really feel for you, waiting is horrible, and if your like me you can't think of anything else!

Hi Tiggerific 69!

I think there has been a cross over between VS systems, as by all accounts the "Online" application form is quite a recent feature, as opposed to the "Old Style" way of "telephoning" for an paper application form. I clearly remember a warning message stating "DO NOT APPLY ONLINE FOR ROLE OF CABIN CREW" and it gave you the number.

I telephoned for an application form (many months ago) and five days later I got an application folder with a letter stating that if I pass this stage I will be invited for an interview. I didn't bother with filling out the application.

Last week I was browsing the VS site and noticed that the warning message for the "DO NOT APPLY ONLINE FOR ROLE OF CABIN CREW" has gone and I was able to fill out the application online.

Two days later I received an invitation for assessment...monday two weeks.

So I would just ignore the letter and paper application you've received and attend your interview as normal.

johnezy 8th Feb 2007 15:50

Yes I know I live in Bedford so too far for me too, looks like b&b's are a bit expensive though.

Jade - Defintley just be yourself at interview, smile lots and be confident. It's good fun and met lots of nice people x
