Monarch Interview 26 March

I'm going to a Monarch interview on Sunday 26th at LGW, anyone else going?

Can anyone who's done a Monarch interview before tell me what happens on the day please? If they want you to stay, does it normally take half a day or the whole day?

Thanks :)

Monarch Interview

Hello.

I am a cabin crew for Monarch. The interviews are very firendly and relaxed. Just be yourself and enjoy the day. Be very friendly, smiling a lot and showing enthusiasm for getting the job. Read about future Monarch planns of expansion (like scheduled flights to TFS from next winter) in www.flymonarch.com and show interest for excellent customer service and work in a friendly team.

Good luck and ask me for any other thing you may need.

look into the past too

Sky, Dan put across a few points that will help you and here are a few more. I also work at LGW and some of the time the minglers, (people who do all the talking) will ask what fleet we have? have a look in your information booklet and study what type of Aircraft we have at the moment, Not forgetting the Boeing 767-300 that may not be in your book.

There will be a few exams to take but dont worry, math, general knowledge etc. Make sure you know the major capital cities and also the airport codes of where we fly to on our schedule routes, which you can easily find on google under airport codes.

Wear something similar to your photo or the same. Dont be affraid to ask questions, but dont ask too many. You will be there the whole day, we dont dismiss the unfortunate one's.:{

make sure, that on your paperwork you have to fill in, that you dont miss even a day on your 5 year history, this will show that you have done what is asked of you and the runners, (the other member of the interview, will love you for it). Ask something like what is monarch's 5 yr projection plan or something like that which wil show your interest in the companies progression.

Well, I think that will do you for now but drop us a line if you have any other questions.

Good luck, as for me I have to get some sleep for a Goa tomorrow evening on our a330 bullet flight.:ok:

congrats

Hi, sky82

congrats on getting the job with monarch. Was it the first time you'd applied for a cabin crew position? Are the interview days as hard as i've heard they are.

Have just recieved an interview date for flybe, and have never had a cabin crew interview before so a bit nervous!-hope you don't mind me asking, but any advice?

Hi sez24

No, it wasn't my first cabin crew interview. I had two in January with BA and Virgin and didn't get either - felt like giving up at first! My next ones were My Travel, Monarch and First Choice all in the last week and a half. Somehow I managed to get offered all three!

It's hard to answer whether the interviews are hard, as they all have a slightly different format. Advice I would give you is:

1) Research the company before your interview, go on their website etc.
2) Prepare answers to possible questions you will get asked eg. customer service/team work examples as well as why you want to be cabin crew.
3) In group tasks, as well as participating show that you are listening to people - and try and involve quiet team members.
4) Most importantly be friendly, talk to everyone and although hard, try and relax and smile. I know you're nervous but I have always found everyone i've met at my interviews to be really nice people. It sounds trivial but I believe that the key to me getting offered the jobs this time was coming across more relaxed and confident. In my BA/Virgin ones I came across too nervous and uptight, I was unable to show how enthusiastic I was about the job.

Good luck! Let me know how you get on.
